has worked in the bearing industry for 18 years at Timken. For the past 15-plus years, he has supported wind energy in various positions from application engineer to chief engineer. In his current role as an advanced application technologist, Lucas is responsible for application and new product development that leads to delivering innovative, high-value technology solutions to Timken customers in the global wind-energy markets. He has been involved with many development projects and products for the wind market to drive increased reliability and lower cost of energy. Prior to Timken, Doug spent four years as a development engineer designing and developing clutches and clutch disks. Lucas holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from The University of Akron as well as a Professional Engineering License in the State of Ohio.
